Volleyball Recap: Austin Prep Finds Home Court Redemption Against Mount St. Charles Academy

There's no place like home for Austin Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

While Austin Prep might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mount St. Charles Academy scored at least 13 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-19, 21-25, 15-13.

Olivia McSorley was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 17 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October.

Austin Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive matchups.

The win got Austin Prep back to even at 11-11. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Austin Prep will head out to take on Winsor at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Worcester Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
