Soccer Recap: Duluth East Takes a Loss

After flying high against Two Harbors on Tuesday, Duluth East came back down to earth. The Greyhounds took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Academy of Holy Angels Stars on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Duluth East came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota soccer rankings (they are ranked third, while Academy of Holy Angels are ranked 38th).

Duluth East's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2-1. As for Academy of Holy Angels, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Duluth East will square off against Denfeld at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Academy of Holy Angels, they will take on Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
