Soccer Game Preview: St. Mary's vs. Tracy

St. Mary and Tracy are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long. The St. Mary's Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Tracy Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

St. Mary's fell victim to Granada and their airtight defense back in December of 2024. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Matadors an easy 6-0 victory. The loss was the Rams' first of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tracy). Their defense stepped up to hand Bear Creek a 5-0 shutout on Friday. Ezequiel Zapien was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Tracy moved to 3-4-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for St. Mary's, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-1.

St. Mary's took their victory against Tracy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Mary's since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
