Basketball Game Preview: Tri-Valley Vikings vs. Normal University Pioneers

Tri-Valley is 0-3 against Normal University since February of 2020 but things could change on Wednesday. The Tri-Valley Vikings will look to defend their home court against the Normal University Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Tri-Valley earned a 55-45 victory over Fieldcrest. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Normal University had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Illinois Valley Central 71-44. The Pioneers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Tri-Valley's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points over those games. As for Normal University, their victory bumped their record up to 17-15.
