Calhoun had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Gilmer Bobcats by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17.

Jersey Strickland paced Calhoun's offense, picking up nine kills. Strickland got some help from Addie Hite and her 11 assists. Hite was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Calhoun's record now sits at 20-7. As for Gilmer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Calhoun and Gilmer will both be playing LaFayette the next time they take the court. The Bobcats will head out to face the Ramblers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Yellow Jackets will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
