Baseball Game Preview: Crooksville Ceramics vs. Maysville Panthers

Crooksville is 2-8 against Maysville since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Ceramics will be playing at home against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Crooksville took a 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against John Glenn, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Ceramics had just enough and edged out the Little Muskies 4-3 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Ceramics as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Maysville posted their closest victory since April 12th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Bishop Rosecrans 4-2.

JAKE DEAL spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, BRYCE FISHER was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was KALE RILEY, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Maysville's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-13. As for Crooksville, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.
