Basketball Game Preview: Marble Falls Mustangs vs. Salado Eagles

The Marble Falls Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Salado Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Marble Falls and Burnet have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Mustangs took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Mustangs have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Salado came up short against Gateway College Preparatory on Friday and fell 60-49.

Salado's loss dropped their record down to 25-7. As for Marble Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-19.

Things could have been worse for Marble Falls, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-44 loss to Salado in their previous matchup back in January. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
