            Wakefield School won the last time they faced Randolph-Macon Academy and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Wakefield School Fighting Owls  breezed by the Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets to the tune of  53-11. The Fighting Owls  have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four  matches by 32  points or more this season.

Leading Wakefield School to victory were  Meira Barnaby and  Ceci Turner.  Barnaby  went 8 for 20  en route to 22 points and four  steals, while  Turner  went 5 of 10  on her way to 13  points along with eight  assists and six  steals. Turner is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last 27 games she's  played dating back to last season.  Joelle Domfeh was another key player,  putting up six  points and six  steals.
 They weren't the only one working in the  assists department: Wakefield School was working as a unit and  finished the game with 19  assists. That's the most  assists they've posted  since  the start of last season.
 Despite the loss, Randolph-Macon Academy still got an impressive performance from   Kay Perry, who  posted nine points.
Wakefield School's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.0 points per game. As for Randolph-Macon Academy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-2.
 Wakefield School will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tandem Friends at 4:00  p.m.  on January 24th. Randolph-Macon Academy has already played their next contest,  a  37-30  win against Fredericksburg Academy on the 16th.
