Basketball Recap: Sylva Bay Academy Saints vs. Woodlawn Prep Wolfpack
Sylva Bay Academy took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Woodlawn Prep Wolfpack 66-23. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Saints as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sylva Bay Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily Hatcher, who earned 21 points in addition to two steals. Reese Shumock was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sylva Bay Academy will host Stringer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodlawn Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sylva Bay Academy at 6:00 p.m.
