Basketball Game Preview: Washington Pam Pack vs. Fayetteville Academy Eagles

The Washington Pam Pack will take on the Fayetteville Academy Eagles in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Washington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Washington will head into Saturday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 27) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Greenfield 75-72. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pam Pack have posted since January 17th.

Washington's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Chaise Smith, who posted 25 points, and Jarryn Payne, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Smith's afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Daniels, who put up 11 points.

Fayetteville Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 71-70 heartbreaker at the hands of Ambassador Christian School. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (66), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Washington's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Fayetteville Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
