Volleyball Game Preview: Crimson Cliffs Mustangs vs. Cedar Reds

The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Cedar Reds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crimson Cliffs will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

If Payson wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Crimson Cliffs, they should've done a better job of containing Lily Jones. The Mustangs came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1 on Friday for which the team can thank Jones, who had 19 digs and four assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17, 19-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Cedar came up short against Desert Hills on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-14, 24-26, 25-19.

Crimson Cliffs' win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Cedar, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Crimson Cliffs beat Cedar 3-1 in their previous matchup back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
