Basketball Recap: Everett Comes Up Short

Everett lost against Marysville Getchell two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Everett Seagulls lost 63-40 to Marysville Getchell. The Seagulls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Marysville Getchell to victory were Wyatt Harris and Arion Palacol. Harris went 7 of 16 en route to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals, while Palacol went 6 for 8 on his way to 19 points. Those four steals gave Harris a new career-high. Zach Rice was another key player, putting up nine points.

Everett's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Marysville Getchell, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Everett has already played their next contest, a 68-24 win against Marysville-Pilchuck on the 31st. As for Marysville Getchell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-37 loss against Monroe on the 31st.
