Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Drops Season-High Score on Varsity Opponent

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Unity Christian). They were the clear victor by a 64-44 margin over Varsity Opponent on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their 25-point performance the game before.

Unity Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Graham Foust out in front who went 7 for 15 on his way to 18 points and three steals. Those three steals gave Foust a new career-high. Nathan Woessner was another key player, putting up six points in addition to 12 boards and eight steals.

Unity Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The victory snapped Unity Christian's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-10 record.

Unity Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-39 win against Tri-State Christian on the 24th. Varsity Opponent has also already played their next matchup, a 49-18 loss against Great Lakes Academy on the 23rd.
