Volleyball Game Preview: New Smyrna Beach Barracudas vs. DeLand Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The New Smyrna Beach Barracudas will head out on the road to square off against the DeLand Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: New Smyrna Beach has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while DeLand will arrive with three straight victories.

New Smyrna Beach is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since September 16th on Monday. They came up short against DME Academy, falling 3-0.

New Smyrna Beach was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-17, 28-26, 25-13.

Meanwhile, in Tuesday's Canine Competition, DeLand came out on top. They took their contest against Timber Creek on Tuesday 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 16-25, 25-20.

DeLand's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for New Smyrna Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

New Smyrna Beach suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to DeLand in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Barracudas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
