Basketball Recap: Harvest Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against College Prep of America last Wednesday, Harvest Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Harvest Christian Academy Lions took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hiawatha Hawks on Friday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2016.

When it comes to explaining why Harvest Christian Academy lost, don't look at Zander Langfeld. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. With that strong performance, Langfeld is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Nathan Foster was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Harvest Christian Academy's record is now 7-12. As for Hiawatha, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11.

Harvest Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-35 loss against Aurora Christian on the 11th. As for Hiawatha, they will face off against LaMoille at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hiawatha is facing LaMoille at the right time seeing as LaMoille is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
