King's Academy won the last time they faced Silverdale Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The King's Academy Lions walked away with a 61-53 win over the Silverdale Academy Seahawks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Despite the defeat, Silverdale Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kinsley Owen posted 22 points and six assists. That was a full 41.5% of Silverdale Academy's points, marking the tenth time in a row Owen has put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ella Canter, who earned eight points.

King's Academy's victory bumped their record up to 24-7. As for Silverdale Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 20-13.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions take on the Panthers on Friday. As for Silverdale Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 59-58 defeat against Northpoint Christian on the 25th.
