Climax Springs had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 50-32 win over the Fair Play Hornets. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 51-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Climax Springs has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Fair Play, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Climax Springs will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Richland at 6:30 p.m. on February 4th. Climax Springs is facing Richland at the right time seeing as Richland is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Fair Play, they are taking a road trip to take on Weaubleau at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Weaubleau will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Fair Play surely won't give up without a fight.
