Volleyball Recap: Ripon Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ripon can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs on Thursday. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Zephyrs from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-12.

Kyah Peterson paced Ripon's offense, picking up ten kills. Peterson got some help from Adele Minor and her 15 assists.

St. Mary Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emily Weiss, who had nine assists and five digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Bitsy McCauley, who had eight digs and three assists.

Ripon's defeat dropped their record down to 21-23. As for St. Mary Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-7.

Ripon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Mary Catholic, they will host Amherst at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
