Softball Preview: Circle Thunderbirds vs. Andale Indians

The Circle Thunderbirds are on the road again on Monday to play the Andale Indians at 4:00 p.m. Circle will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

In what's become a running theme this season, Circle gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 14-2 margin over Rose Hill.

Ellie Randall made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off 11 hits (and only one walk). Randall has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances. Randall was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lauren Swilley was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-5. Kendyl Acker was another key contributor, going 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI.

Meanwhile, Andale came up short against Maize on Tuesday and fell 12-8.
