Baseball Recap: Dinuba Comes Up Short

Dinuba fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Minarets on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 6-5. The Emperors were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.

Dinuba's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Minarets, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10.

Dinuba and Minarets could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Emperors will challenge Fowler at 6:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (944 vs. 152). Meanwhile, Minarets (ranked 875th) will meet Central Valley Christian (ranked 382nd) at 12:20 p.m. on Monday.
