Softball Recap: Eight Straight Home Victories for ITW David Speer Academy

ITW David Speer Academy got themselves on the board against Golder on Thursday, but Golder never followed suit. They blew past the Panthers 18-0. The contest marked the Pride's most dominant victory of the season so far.

Sophia Hernandez was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Hernandez was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brianna Robles, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Dayrin Tirado was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

ITW David Speer Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .960. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

ITW David Speer Academy pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
