Volleyball Recap: Marion Beats Bartlett for Their Fourth Straight Win

Marion waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Bartlett Panthers by a score of 2-0. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Marion was: they took both sets by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-8.

KENDALL BROWN paced Marion's offense, picking up seven kills. BROWN were helped by TAYLOR CHAMNESS and CLAIRE BRINKLEY, who contributed seven assists each. REESE GOODWIN controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Bartlett lost, don't look at Kailee Almeria. Despite the final result, she had ten digs.

Marion's record now sits at 5-1. As for Bartlett, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Marion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Evangelical Christian on the 5th. As for Bartlett, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against White Station on the 5th.
