Basketball Recap: Muhlenberg County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ohio County last Friday, Muhlenberg County came back down to earth. The Muhlenberg County Mustangs fell 66-58 to the Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers on Friday. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Fighting Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Muhlenberg County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Breckinridge County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Coming up, Muhlenberg County will look to defend their home court on Monday against Trinity at 7:30 p.m. As for Breckinridge County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-61 victory against Daviess County on the 8th.
