Baseball Preview: Capitol Hill Redwolves vs. Grant Generals
The Capitol Hill Redwolves will head out on the road to square off against the Grant Generals at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Capitol Hill and seven for Grant.
Capitol Hill will head into Tuesday's match ready to turn things around: they lost a close one when they played on Thursday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They fell victim to a rough 16-7 defeat at the hands of Northwest Classen.
Bryce Roschal and Oscar Bojorquez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Roschal went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and a triple, while Bojorquez scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-2. Blake Cowan was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all two of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Grant's offense. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 21-0 walloping at the hands of El Reno on Wednesday.
Capitol Hill's loss dropped their record down to 7-25. As for Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.
