Christian took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Lincoln, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Hornets on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Hornets back in March, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Christian got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 20-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-11.

Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season. As for Lincoln, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Hoover at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lincoln will take on rival Crawford at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
