Basketball Recap: Palmyra Comes Up Short

Palmyra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Mexico Bulldogs and fell 89-40. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Palmyra's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Mexico, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Palmyra and Mexico should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Palmyra will challenge South Shelby at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th up 163 places (73 vs. 236). Meanwhile, Mexico (ranked 72nd) will meet Warrenton (ranked 263rd) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
