Volleyball Recap: Water Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Water Valley challenged Abilene Christian on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Water Valley started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 21-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-8.

Abilene Christian found their leader in freshman Berkley Lange, who had seven digs and two aces.

Water Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Abilene Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.

Looking ahead, Water Valley will take on Lubbock in a tournament on Friday. Abilene Christian has already played their next contest (against Legacy Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
