Needles had won 23 straight games dating back to last season and Darrell Russell did his part to make it 24 on Thursday. The Needles Mustangs put the hurt on the Mohave Accelerated Patriots with a sharp 85-63 win thanks in part to Russell, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 16 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Luke Mills, who posted 19 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds. That's the most assists he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Needles pushed their record up to 22-0 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mohave Accelerated, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
