Volleyball Game Preview: Topeka Trojans vs. Tonganoxie Chieftains

The Topeka Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Tonganoxie Chieftains on Saturday. Topeka is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

On Monday, Topeka beat Leavenworth 2-0.

Meanwhile, Tonganoxie earned a 2-0 win over Leavenworth on Thursday. The Chieftains haven't had any issues with the PIONEERS recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

While Tonganoxie won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20.

Tonganoxie's record is now 11-7. As for Topeka, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Topeka couldn't quite get it done against Tonganoxie when the teams last played back in September of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
