After a string of seven wins, Hart's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the North Muskegon Norsemen by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Pirates have suffered since May 29, 2024.

Reese Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Maryn Klotz, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Hart's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for North Muskegon, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.

Looking ahead, Hart will head out to face off against Pine River Area at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Bucks have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for North Muskegon, they will welcome Calvin Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Squires have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.3 runs per game on average), something the Norsemen will no doubt try to take advantage of.
