Softball Recap: Madison West Comes Up Short

Madison West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 8-0 to the Oregon Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Regents of the 15-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Madison West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mikaela Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Madison West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison West will host Verona at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oregon, they will face off against Milton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
