Basketball Recap: Temecula Prep Comes Up Short

After flying high against Nuview Bridge on Friday, Temecula Prep came back down to earth. The Temecula Prep Patriots took a hard 52-38 fall against the Temescal Canyon Titans on Saturday. The Patriots lost against the Titans in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 76-18 score last time.

Temecula Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Temescal Canyon, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.

The future could be bright for both Temecula Prep and Temescal Canyon: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Temecula Prep will try to hand Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School their ninth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Temescal Canyon will look to extend Liberty's three-game losing streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
