Baseball Game Preview: Springville Red Devils vs. Orem Tigers

For the second straight game, Springville will face off against Orem. The Red Devils will face off against the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Springville played in-conference for the first time on Friday and got just the result they were looking for. They walked away with an 8-4 win over Orem. The victory was some much needed relief for the Red Devils as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Kaden Tingey was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Brooks Child was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Tingey wasn't the only one making solid contact: Springville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for the Red Devils: they were averaging 4.7 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.4.

Orem has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. As for Springville, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-10.
