Basketball Recap: Lakes Takes a Loss

After flying high against Round Lake last Tuesday, Lakes came back down to earth. The Lakes Eagles fell 60-51 to the North Chicago Warhawks on Friday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warhawks earlier this season, when they won 65-47.

Lakes has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for North Chicago, their win bumped their record up to 9-17.

Looking ahead, Lakes won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lake Forest Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Forest Academy has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 196 points over their last three matches. As for North Chicago, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Zion-Benton at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
