Basketball Game Preview: Shadow Ridge Mustangs vs. Cimarron-Memorial Spartans

The Shadow Ridge Mustangs will challenge the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shadow Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Cimarron-Memorial likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Shadow Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Chaparral, taking the game 60-49.

Meanwhile, everything went Cimarron-Memorial's way against Western on Tuesday as Cimarron-Memorial made off with a 77-55 win. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Warriors are ranked 75th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cimarron-Memorial is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points per game. As for Shadow Ridge, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
