Basketball Recap: Northfield Norsemen vs. Whitko Wildcats
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Northfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Whitko Wildcats, sneaking past 70-67. The win was familiar territory for the Norsemen who have now won three matchups in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Camryn Kuhn, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Kuhn has posted since back in November of 2024. Elli Baker was another key player, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ally Brown, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayma Stonebraker, who went 6 of 13 en route to 19 points and three steals.

Northfield's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-7.
