Baseball Recap: Mohave Comes Up Short

Mohave came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Westview Knights by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The Thunderbirds just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Justin Crandall was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Deegan Perry was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Mohave's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Westview, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Mohave didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 24-2 loss against Flagstaff on the 29th. As for Westview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 23-0 defeat against Deer Valley on the 25th.
