Baseball Recap: Campbell Hall Takes a Loss

After flying high against Grant two weeks ago, Campbell Hall came back down to earth. The Vikings fell just short of the Chula Vista Spartans by a score of 6-4 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Vikings have suffered since March 14, 2024.

Campbell Hall got a good showing from Brock Grazier, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Nasir Akil was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. Roman Ochoa was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Campbell Hall dropped their record down to 4-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Chula Vista, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4-2.

Campbell Hall has already played their next game, an 8-6 loss against Bishop's on the 1st. As for Chula Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-2 defeat against Olympian on the 1st.
