Basketball Game Preview: Scottsboro Wildcats vs. Montgomery Academy Eagles

The Scottsboro Wildcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Montgomery Academy Eagles at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Scottsboro has given up an average of 60.7 points per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Scottsboro faced off against Huntsville on Saturday. The Wildcats took a blow against the Panthers, falling 77-43. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Panthers are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Montgomery Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orange Beach.

Montgomery Academy suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 7-3. As for Scottsboro, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
