The Blazer Tomcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Pikeville 72-47. That looming 72-47 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Blazer yet this season.
It was another big night for Zander Carter, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that he grabbed two or more steals. Tyson Lalonde was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
The win was the third in a row for Blazer, bringing their record for this year to 3-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 21.67 points. As for Pikeville, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.
Blazer will head out on the road to face off against Fairview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairview has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 305 points over their last four matchups. Pikeville will be home for the holidays to greet Madison Southern at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
