Basketball Recap: Waverly Ravens vs. Mesrobian Bulldogs
Waverly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 119-25 loss at the hands of the Mesrobian Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-14 back in December of 2024.
Nicholas Khatchikian continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mesrobian, going 48 for 99 on his way to 102 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Khatchikian's evening made it 16 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Khatchikian, who dropped a triple-double on 15 boards, 35 assists, and 13 steals.
Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Mesrobian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
