Basketball Game Preview: St. Clairsville Red Devils vs. Cambridge Bobcats

St. Clairsville and Cambridge are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The St. Clairsville Red Devils will square off against the Cambridge Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 11 consecutive losses dating back to last season for St. Clairsville and four for Cambridge.

Last Saturday, St. Clairsville had to suffer through a 75-25 loss at the hands of Martins Ferry. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 705th, while the Purple Riders are ranked 167th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-43, which was the final score in Cambridge's tilt against Martins Ferry on Monday.

St. Clairsville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Cambridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

St. Clairsville might still be hurting after the 64-39 defeat they got from Cambridge when the teams last played on December 2nd. Can St. Clairsville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
