After a string of five wins, Chatham Charter's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 55-40 bruising from the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Chatham Charter's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryder Murphy, who posted 12 points and three steals. Murphy has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Ethan Cheek was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Chatham Charter's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
