Softball Recap: Alabama Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Alabama Christian Academy blew Trinity Presbyterian out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Trinity Presbyterian got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since March 28, 2024.

Madolyn Traywick was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Traywick was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season.

In other batting news, Izzy Warrick made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Hall, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Alabama Christian Academy's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Trinity Presbyterian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Alabama Christian Academy will take on Prattville Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Presbyterian will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' contest: after the Eagles faces off against Montgomery Academy, they'll take on Trinity Presbyterian again at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
