Basketball Game Preview: Caney Cougars vs. Milburn Eagles

Caney is a perfect 10-0 against Milburn since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Caney was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-39 to Soper. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-14, which was the final score in Milburn's tilt against Stringtown on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Eagles' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Milburn fell to 2-1. As for Caney, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Caney against Milburn when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 58-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
