Baseball Recap: Noah Parker and Jake Kelly Secure Win for Bolivar Central

It was a proper cat-fight when Bolivar Central challenged Bolton on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 10-0 shutout. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Kaynon Swift was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Jake Kelly and Noah Parker did most of the damage at the plate: Kelly went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Parker went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Parker is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Dalton Bissett was another key player, earning two runs and two stolen bases.

Bolivar Central's record now sits at 9-11-1. As for Bolton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Bolivar Central nor Bolton have any future games scheduled.
