Mandeville is a perfect 10-0 against Hammond since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mandeville Skippers will look to defend their home field against the Hammond Tornadoes at 4:30 p.m. Mandeville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Mandeville after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Ponchatoula by a score of 6-5. The Skippers haven't had much luck with the Green Wave recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Grace Richard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Mia Graefenstein was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Hammond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-3 to Covington.

Mandeville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Hammond, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Everything went Mandeville's way against Hammond in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Mandeville made off with a 15-0 win. Does Mandeville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hammond turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
