Volleyball Recap: Presley Stewart-Rolfs Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Gresham Community

It was a proper cat-fight when Tigerton faced off against Gresham Community on Thursday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Tigers were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Tigers were just returning the favor.

Tigerton's got stronger as the match went on, holding Gresham Community to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-15.

Tigerton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Presley Stewart-Rolfs, who had 14 kills, 11 digs, and four blocks. That's the most digs Stewart-Rolfs has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Brady, who had 24 digs and two aces.

Tigerton now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Gresham Community, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tigerton will head out to challenge Northeast Wisconsin Christian HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gresham Community, they will face off against Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
