Softball Recap: Berryville Bobcats vs. Prairie Grove Tigers
Berryville won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They fell victim to a rough 15-4 defeat at the hands of the Prairie Grove Tigers. Berryville has not had much luck with Prairie Grove recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
For Prairie Grove's part, Calley Lowery was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. Lowery was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Ivey Sparkman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and a triple. Addison Porter was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Berryville's loss dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Prairie Grove, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-21.
