Basketball Game Preview: Apponequet Regional Lakers vs. Dighton-Rehoboth Regional Falcons

The Apponequet Regional Lakers will square off against the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Apponequet Regional fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Bridgewater-Raynham on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 57-49 to the Trojans. That makes it the first time this season the Lakers have let down their home crowd.

Meanwhile, Dighton-Rehoboth Regional came up short against Somerset Berkley Regional on Thursday and fell 49-42. The Falcons have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Apponequet Regional's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2. As for Dighton-Rehoboth Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Everything came up roses for Apponequet Regional against Dighton-Rehoboth Regional when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 60-31 win.
